My Favorite Time of year!

I don’t know about you, but October starts my favorite time of year! All of the livestock and horse shows are happening right now! Where do I start? There’s the American Royal in Kansas City, the USTRC World finals in OKC, the North American in Louisville, AQHA World Show in OKC, the NRHA Futurity in OKC and last but not least (my favorite) the Barrel Futurities of America World Championships! WOW its a busy fall! Before you know it January will be here and we’ll be getting ready for the NCBA convention and National Western! The only downfall is that there is only one of me and many many shows to go to!

Between traveling all over the place interviewing for potential job/career opportunities and school, I feel like I’m missing out on so much.  I guess in the ideal world I could make a career out of showing…. HA HA! That’d be nice but I have to start somewhere.

I’ve had quite a few eye opening events in the past months that made me realize where my true passions lie.  Three years ago if you had asked, I would have told you that barrel racing is my all time passion.  Here lately I’m had a bit of a change of heart.  Granted I still and always love barrel racing, however as far as passions are concerned, I would have to say the livestock industry has taken that place and barrel racing has become more of a hobby.  Its kind of funny how things play out I guess.  Oh well!

Happy Showing everyone whether you’re heading to a horse or livestock show I wish you the best of luck!
